Feast of Light begins with light effect and space as it can be applied to the restaurant at Chicago's Palmer House Hilton Hotel. An analysis of Claude Monet’s work inspires a structure that seizes the instant lighting effects created within Monet's paintings. Visitors' movements activate the space, because the semi-transparent architectural structure reacts to light and shadow like a canvas enlivened by the brushwork of its inhabitants. Both customers and the restaurant itself create new Impressionist paintings.
