Sepideh Abtahi holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Business Administration in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago. Her work looks at architecture as a combination of sociocultural and material systems.
Textiles and Architecture examines how architecture uses weaving to support not only its formal manifestation but to provide a dynamic sociocultural environment within the interior of an urban context. Textiles are looked at as a high-performance building material through the structural capabilities of weaving techniques as well as their conceptual connection to the urban context and program.
