Dina Khodorkovskaya was born in Kazan, Russia and moved to the United States to pursue Bachelor of Fine Art in Interior Architecture from the School of the Art Institute in 2008. Her explorations in design lay in the realm of experimenting and operating in social, economical, and ecological spheres that provide tactical solutions for future living.

Fluid Space is a design project that confronts traditional values and functions of industrial landscapes within the urban fabric. It proposes new futures for industrial ecology as a productive and educational terrain that could potentially regenerate its obsolete infrastructure.
