David Hull received a Bachelor of Art in Industrial Design from Western Washington University in 2006 and worked in the housewares industry until 2010. His work explores the concept of alternative economies, the heirloom object, peripheral interaction, and materiality within a society that is embedded with technology and encouraged towards sustainability.
Currency investigates the intangible value of preservation while proposing alternative systems of exchange and ownership through the idea of localized commodities.
