Brian Bailey is a Chicago-based designer who places emphasis on craft and commodity in order to communicate the underlying narrative of objects through a re-animation of archaic techniques of embellishment in contemporary practice. Brian received his Bachelor of Fine Art in Sculpture from the Atlanta College of Art in 2005.
Wall Paper makes a subtle social commentary on the long history of designed ornamentation. The designer creates paper objects that highlight their own lack of embellishment and handicraft. The non-archival medium is intended to degrade over time and eventually reflect the contemporary state of our architectural past.
